SUMMER CONCERT SEASON CLOSURE
Dear visitors of our events,
We have successfully concluded the Summer Concert Season 2024, which has enriched 38 venues across Slovenia and abroad (Austria, Italy, Croatia) with wonderful musical experiences. Your presence, substantial media support, and exceptional response have once again demonstrated the important role the Imago Sloveniae project plays in promoting quality culture.
We are proud to have hosted 781 top musicians from 31 countries at 75 concerts, including 288 Slovenian artists. We are particularly pleased that we were able to offer concert experiences to many excellent young musicians and that 21 new compositions had their world premieres within our festivals.
Our program marked significant anniversaries of musical giants such as Giacomo Puccini, Gabriel Fauré, Bedřich Smetana, and Arnold Schönberg. We also held two international masterclasses in piano and improvisation with the exceptional virtuosos Alexander Gadjiev and Noam Sivan, and the International Musicological Symposium “In New Disguise: Folk Music and Dance Revival Movements”
Accessible concerts by top musical artists have enriched the national summer cultural offer and contributed to making high-quality music accessible to all.
During our international festivals and concert cycles Imago Sloveniae, Summer in Old Ljubljana, Young Talents, Jazz Stage, and Nights in Old Ljubljana, we recorded:
- 75 concerts
- 781 musicians from 31 countries
- More than 18,000 visitors
- 38 concert venues across Slovenia and abroad
- 6 performances of Slovenian musicians abroad
- International Musicological Symposium “In a New Light: Folk Music and Dance Revival Movements”

For 36 years, as a non-governmental and non-profit organization, we have been committed to providing accessible cultural offerings at the highest level. This has been possible thanks to our loyal partners, co-financers, patrons, and sponsors, among whom we especially highlight the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO, EZTS GO, the City Municipality of Ljubljana, and the Public Institution Turizem Ljubljana.
