JAZZ BANDS ARE INVITED TO APPLY FOR INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY
We are looking for promising jazz bands who would like to perform at our concerts at various locations around Slovenia and neighboring countries on the UNESCO International Jazz Day, April 30, 2024.
We provide
The selected bands will receive the organization of concerts in Slovenia and beyond, payment in the amount of EUR 100 per musician per concert, promotion, and inclusion in the Imago Sloveniae program. We will also choose a band that will get the opportunity to play in fornt of the numerous audience of our well-established international Jazz Stage cycle, which has been enhancing the cultural pulse of Ljubljana’s old town every Friday in July and August for almost twenty years.
How to apply
Send a mail titled JAZZ APPLICATION, containing the following information to imago@siol.net
- Band name
- A list of band members and the instruments they play
- Short blurb about the band,
- Proposed repertoire
- Band photo (high resolution)
- Video of the band playing (if no live recordings exist, this can also be a recording of a practice session)
- Contact information (email and phone number)
- Technical rider
Applications must be submitted no later than February 23, 2024, but we will be overjoyed to receive applications earlier. Bands will be selected by March 30, 2024 and notified by email.
