Clarinetist Domen Marn has established himself as a notable figure on both the Slovenian and international concert scenes. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including absolute first prize and the title of Laureate at international competitions in Požarevac and Belgrade, a gold award and the special prize of the Province of Udine, as well as multiple gold distinctions as both soloist and chamber musician at the national TEMSIG competition. He began his musical education at the Krško Music School under Prof. Robert Pirc, continued at the Celje Secondary School of Music in the class of Jurij Hladnik, and completed his clarinet studies at the Zurich University of the Arts under Fabio Di Casola and Matthias Müller. His artistic development was further enriched through masterclasses with renowned clarinetists such as Mate Bekavac, Slavko Kovačič, Paolo Beltramini, Philippe Cuper, Charles Neidich, Robert Pickup, Elmar Schmid, and Felix-Andreas Genner. During the 2013/14 concert season, he was an intern with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the Zurich Opera House as part of his academic training. As a substitute clarinetist, he has collaborated with several esteemed ensembles, including the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Musikkollegium Winterthur, St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Novum Zürich, Ensemble Paul Klee Bern, the Bavarian Philharmonic, and the Orchestra Academy of the Zurich University of the Arts. His performances have been broadcast by RTV Slovenia and Czech Radio Ostrava (Český rozhlas), reflecting his growing presence in the wider European concert scene.
Violist Roberto Papi is an accomplished soloist and chamber musician, known for his extensive international experience. He began his musical journey as a violinist in Spoleto, Italy. After completing his studies at the Civico Istituto Musicale A. Onofri, he moved to the USA to fully devote himself to the viola. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree at Rice University, followed by a season with the New World Symphony Orchestra in Miami. Papi currently serves as Principal Viola of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor Symphony Orchestra. Prior to this, he held the position of Associate Principal Viola for eight concert seasons with the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Orchestra in Brazil. In 2021, he also appeared as Acting Principal Viola of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. As a guest musician, he has performed with esteemed ensembles such as the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona (as principal violist), the Welsh National Opera (as associate principal), the Brazilian Chamber Orchestra, and the Music City Baroque Ensemble in Nashville. His performance career has brought him to prestigious festivals in both Europe and the United States, including Festival Ljubljana, the Spoleto Festival, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Tanglewood Music Festival. As a dedicated chamber musician, he has collaborated with distinguished artists such as James Dunham, Roberto Díaz, Norman Fischer, Christopher Rex, and Jeffrey Khaner. Together with Anthony Flint, he co-founded the ensemble Virtuosi de Minas.
Pianist Kristin Sophie Hütter began her musical education at the age of 13 in the gifted program under the mentorship of Prof. Marie Aime Labre Makk. Among her most notable achievements are the Second Prize along with a special award for the best interpretation of a Swedish composition at the International Piano Competition in Gothenburg (2023), the Second Prize and a scholarship at the WPTA Online Competition in Finland (2024), and the Third Prize with an invitation to perform in the final concert of the prestigious Elevato Competition in Prague (2024). In 2024, she was also awarded the “Young Artists Award” as part of a university competition, which includes a solo recital engagement with the Oberschützen Cultural Society. She has also achieved significant success as a chamber musician. With her piano trio Triade, they received First Prize at the Luigi Zanouccoli International Chamber Music Competition in Italy (2021), followed by performances at various festivals in Austria and Germany. In 2023 and 2024, she successfully completed her undergraduate studies in piano (with a focus on instrumental pedagogy and concert performance) under Prof. Peter Josza. She is currently pursuing her master’s degrees in piano performance, piano pedagogy, and music and theatre education. In addition to her performance career, Hütter is also active as a pedagogue. She teaches at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory in Graz and contributes to the broader field of music education. She has appeared as a presenter on the stage of the renowned Stefaniensaal in Graz and has organized numerous events at MUMUTH, the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. In March 2024 and 2025, she conceived and hosted the first and second editions of the concert series Rising Stars.
