ORGAN CYCLE: Ana Marija Krajnc
Music of the Old Masters for Organ and Harpsichord
Ana Marija Krajnc, organ and harpsichord
One of Slovenia’s most distinguished young harpsichordists and organists, Ana Marija Krajnc, has in recent years drawn considerable attention with her insightful interpretations and outstanding achievements at international competitions and prestigious music festivals. Through her performances, she creates an artistic experience that goes beyond technical mastery, inviting the listener into the inner world of music – a world of silence, color, rhythm, and profound contemplation.
On historical organs and harpsichord, she will interpret works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Louis Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Guillaume Dufay, Hieronymus Praetorius, and Dietrich Buxtehude.
“Playing the organ is an expression of will filled with a vision of eternity,” wrote French composer and organist Charles-Marie Widor. As W. A. Mozart also stated, the organ is the king of instruments. This instrument offers the performer endless interpretive possibilities while requiring a well-rounded and versatile musical personality.
To promote and popularize organ music, Radio Slovenia’s Ars program and Imago Sloveniae are organizing its fourth organ concert cycle, titled Obiski kraljice v živo (Visits of the Queen). Renowned domestic and international organists are featured, performing selected programs on some of the finest Slovenian organs.
Free admission.
Recordings of the concerts will be broadcast on Program Ars on Sundays, September 21 and October 19, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., as part of the program Obiski kraljice (Visits of the Queen).
