CONERT OF CHOSEN TEMSIG WINNERS: RISUS MUSICORUM (Slovenia) and DUO FLAUCCORD (Croatia, Serbia)
The concert is featuring two young promising ensembles from different generations, both winners at this year’s Slovenian TEMSIG competition. The first half of the evening will resound in the music of the exceptional Trio Risus Musicorum, while the second half will be crowned with a concert by Duo Flauccord.

Trio Risus Musicorum, which translates to “Musicians’ Laughter,” is a top-tier trio of third-year students from the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Maribor. Under the mentorship of Professor Slavko Magdić they won gold and first prize in their age group category of chamber groups with accordion at this year’s TEMSIG competition.
Flautist Klara Kobolt is a two-time gold plaque recipient and first-place winner at the TEMSIG competition, standing out among her numerous accolades. She has also excelled at the 14th Ars Nova Trieste International Competition and secured top honors at the 2019 Davorin Jenko International Competition, where she was awarded the prestigious laureate special prize. During the “Night of Slovenian Composers 2020,” Klara premiered “Magic Wand” and “Mystical Bond with a Pound,” compositions by the esteemed Slovenian composer Rok Golob. Violinist Tinkara Andrejc boasts a remarkable record of success in both national and international competitions. Similarly, accordionist Špela Naglič has demonstrated exceptional talent, clinching first prize and the top position at TEMSIG 2023, as well as winning the Zvezdane staze international competition in Kragujevac. She also secured first prize and second place at the accordion competition in Pula. In autumn of 2023, Špela joined the avant-garde ensemble Laibach on their »Alamut« tour in several major European cities, including Ljubljana, Zagreb, Trieste, and Frankfurt. This year, she showcased her skills as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Maribor.

At this year’s 53rd TEMSIG national competition Duo Flauccord, comprising of undergraduate students at the Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana was awarded the gold plaque, first prize, and a perfect score of 100 points.
Young flautist virtuoso Sofija Mihailović has already distinguished herself both as a soloist and within various orchestras and ensembles. Her exceptional musicality has enchanted audiences in concert halls across multiple venues. Mihailović’s accolades include numerous victories at both national and international levels; she was the outright winner at the “Tahir Kulenović” International Competition, earned a gold plaque at the “Emona” competition, and clinched third prize at the “Anton Eberst” competition in Novi Sad. Notably, in September 2023, she secured first prize at the Bratislava International Flute Competition in the under-21 category. In November 2023, she achieved third place at the Flauta Aurea Competition in Croatia, in the under-30 category, and received a special commendation for her superior rendition of C.P.E. Bach’s Sonata in A minor for solo flute.
Accordionist Kiara Janko has garnered a remarkable track record, having secured over 30 first-place finishes at international and national competitions, and boasts an impressive concert portfolio with various national orchestras. This year, Janko showcased her talents as a soloist at prestigious events such as the Ljubljana Festival and Ljubljana Music Youth. At the 52nd Young Musicians of Slovenia Competition, she was awarded the top prize, a gold plaque, and received two special awards. Her notable performances include solo appearances with the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra in Poreč and Rovinj. Furthermore, at the Convocazioni e Punteggio Concorso Talento Contemporaneo, she not only clinched first prize and first place but also a coveted solo concert at the Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Colloredo di Monte Albano, Italy, and first place at the “Tomaž Holmar International Competition” in Malborghetto, Italy. Additionally, Janko performed at the Pro et Contra event organized by the Music Academy in Pula and appeared at the Solo e da camera festival. As a finalist in the Virtuosi V4+ 2022 competition, she performed at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, accompanied by the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
