Daniel Caccia & Organ Trio‘s repertoire will honour this year’s centenary of birth of the famous Croatian singer Ivo Robić by including jazz arrangement of his songs in their repertoire. Daniel’s album of jazz remakes of the said songs had previously won Croatian Porin Album of the Year Award.

Croatian singer Daniel Caccia is not only the recipient of the Porin Album of the Year Award but was also nominated for the prestigious Echo Jazz Award. Early in his career, as a vocalist with the German National Jazz Orchestra, the trend-setting DownBeat magazine named him Best Young Singer of 2013. He began his career as a student of classical piano at the Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main. He continued his quest for knowledge at the renowned Jazz Conservatory in Graz, went on to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Jazz Institute at the University of Graz. In addition to Daniel Caccia & Organ Trio, he also sings in other ensembles such as the Latvian Radio Big Band and Sigi Feigl Big Band.

In his youth, guitarist Ratko Zjaca was equally fascinated with the eclectic sounds of Jimi Hendrix and ordered sequences of J. S. Bach. Over the years his diverse musical taste developed into into a distinctive jazz expression that extends far beyond the average guitarist’s saxophonic phraseology. After graduating from the University of Zagreb, he continued his quest for jazz at the Conservatory in Rotterdam and then the New York School of Music, all the while perfecting his skills at individual lessons with Joe Pass, Jim Hall, Pat Metheny, Mick Goodrick, Mike Stern, Bob Brookmayer, John Abercromby, and others. He recorded a series of albums, playing with the likes of Benny Bailey, Randy Brecker, Gary Peacock, Reggie Workman, John Pattituci, Al Foster, Steve Gadd, Miroslav Vitous, Ron Carter. He is the recipient of many international nominations and awards.

Excellent double-bassist Luka Herman Gaiser developed his skills and education at various music workshops run by celebrated musicians, such as David Hazeltine, Peter Washington, Louis Hayes, Barry Harris. He is often asked to collaborate with top-tier musical groups and musicians such as Rob Bargad, Daniel Sadownick, Don Menza, Kirk Lightsey, Gary Smulyan, Kevin Mahogany, Bernd Reiter, Goran Alachki, Denise King, Nicole Herzog, Jim Rotondi, Olivier Temime, Helmut Kagerer, Olivier Hutman, Essaouira project, Tango Compas, as well as violin player Stefan Milenkovich, and noted Slovenian accordeonist Marko Hatlak. He regulary tours Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and southern Europe.

Percussionist and drummer Jože Zadravec studied under Prof. Erich Bachträgl and Prof. Klemens Marktl at the Austrian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt. He continually refined his skills through educational workshops with Gregory Hutchinson, Willie Jones III, Billy Hart, Jimmy Cobb, Gary Bartz, Bob Mintzer, Armen Donelian, Don Menza, and others. Throughout his extensive career, he has collaborated with exceptional jazz musicians such as Simone Zanchini, Ton Risco, Martin Gjakonovski, Primož Grašič, Vid Jamnik, Vasko Atanasovski, Maja Keuc, Aleksandra Ilijevski, Elda Viler, and many more. He has performed at numerous major European jazz and music festivals. In addition to his active concert engagements, Jože Zadravec also dedicates himself to teaching. Since 2017, he has been teaching drums, rhythm, and reading in the jazz department of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Maribor.
