The excellent young orchestra from Turin will also perform at the Slovenian Philharmonic as part of its tour “International Routes: Arts Creating Future.” This initiative is funded by the European Union as part of the NextGenerationEU program, which aims to promote the internationalization of Italian higher education in the arts and music and to build cultural bridges between nations. The concert is not just an artistic performance, but a moment of dialogue between Italian excellence and the rich philharmonic tradition of Ljubljana, a historical crossroads between the Mediterranean and Germanic worlds. Mario Turetta (President of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin) and Francesco Pennarola (Director of the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin) summed up the essence of the evening and the project:
“Our young musicians are not here just to perform: they are here to represent a generation that sees Europe and the world as the natural environment for their education and artistic expression. They are here to show that excellence comes from the courage to expose oneself, to seek confrontation, to build bridges.”
Musicians from the G.F. Ghedini Conservatory in Cuneo are also participating in the event.
Admission free.
