UNESCO INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY 2025
Imago Sloveniae once again joins the celebration of the International Jazz Day in Slovenia. A varied concert programme prepared for this occasion will take place in Ljubljana and several other places this year under the patronage of the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO.

30 April was recognised as International Jazz Day by the UNESCO General Assembly in 2011, at the initiative of legendary jazz composer Herbie Hancock, and added to the United Nations calendar in 2012. Today, it is celebrated in more than 190 countries.
UNESCO recognises jazz music as a vehicle for freedom of expression and intercultural dialogue, as synonymous with respect for human rights and the dignity of women and men, regardless of their background.
