Mykhailo Levit is a gypsy jazz musician, guitarist, and freelance cultural professional based in Ljubljana. He is best known for his work in the fields of jazz and swing music. A permanent member of the acclaimed Slovenian ensemble Swingatan, he is also active in numerous other musical projects.

In addition to performing traditional standards associated with the legendary French guitarist of Sinti heritage, Django Reinhardt, Levit composes original music in which traditional gypsy jazz (manouche) and the swing of the 1930s intertwine with elements of what he describes as “Slavic swing.”

Levit regularly performs at major cultural venues and festivals, including Cankarjev dom and Imago Sloveniae. For this concert, he will appear with his acoustic gypsy jazz trio, joined by the distinguished jazz musicians Teo Collori and Nikola Matošić.
