Internationally renowned soprano Nika Gorič and accordionist Matjaž Balažic will take you on a voyage from Argentina through France and, with a selection of newly clad Slovenian folk songs, back home. We are in for a wide array of musical emotions, from gentle melodies to fiery rhythms.
Nika Gorič is a regular guest of world-renowned stages, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Royal Festival Hall in London, Symphony Hall in Birmingham, and the Sydney Opera House. She also frequently collaborates with topmost Slovenian musical ensembles and festivals: both Slovenian opera houses, as a soloist with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, and at the Ljubljana Festival and Maribor Festival.
Accordionist Matjaž Balažic is a multiple award-winner at various competitions at home and abroad (TEMSIG, Castelfidardo, Pula, Beltinci, Majano). He performs both as a soloist and member of various chamber groups and orchestras.
