Noreia is a Slovenian ensemble steeped in traditional Irish, Scottish and Breton tunes. However, they like to add their own twist to these classic Celtic tunes by fusing Celtic musical traditions with their own heritage – Slovenian folk music, resulting in a distinct and unique sound.
Their experience with live performances extends from intimate pub gigs to large festival stages. They have released three albums: Step it Out! (2015), Moments To Treasure (2017), Viže (2019) and caught the attention of many music critics and media, which resulted in continuous touring ever since (Ireland, Croatia, Italy, Czech republic, Netherlands, Austria, Spain, and Germany). In 2017, the band was chosen to open one of the largest festivals of Celtic music, Festival de Ortigueira (Galicia, Spain) in front of a crowd of 30.000. They have cooperated with famous musicians, such as Donal Lunny, Tola Custy, Padraig Rynne, Diarmaid and Donncha Moynihan, Janez Dovč and many others, as well as co-produced a dance show called Erin’s Heartbeat with the Irish dance school in Ljubljana.
