PIANO MASTERCLASS SESSIONS WITH SIAVUSH GADJIEV (10.00 am–1.00 pm)
Internationally acclaimed pedagogue and exceptional pianist Siavush Gadjiev began his teaching career at the prestigious Central special school of the Moscow Conservatory, which educated topmost musical talents of the former USSR, Japan, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Romanioa, Korea, and even US. Siavush is a veteran international masterclass leader with a long history of thematic lectures and concerts spanning the globe. He currently lives in Italy and teaches at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana as well as at the private school for young talents in Italian Gorizia. He taught several international comeptition laureates including Giuseppe Guarrera and, of course his son, world renowned pianist Alexander Gadjiev.
Due to the extremely high quality of applicants 12 students were accepted instead of the initially intended 10. Applicants hail from seven countries (Australia, Germany, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Slovenia). On 16 July, Siavush will be working with Maor Sivan, Yukichiyo Yokota, and Mahya Mohammadi.
The masterclass is open to the public and can be visited free of charge.
The Masterclass is organized with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Gorizia, the Municipality of Ljubljana, and The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia in collaboration with Annalisa Zorzettig Winery, Pecar pianos, Silič Piano Tuning, Kulturni dom Gorica, the Slovenian Philharmonic, with the support of Mrak Hotel, and the media partnership of Il giornale della musica and Radio Città Aperta.
