The Ljubljana band Wild Strings Trio was formed in 2014 as a connection between the Slovak jazz violinist Petra Onderufova, the French classical cellist Toby Khun and the Slovenian-Balkan guitarist Aleksandar Kuzmić. With the help of drive, genuine dedication to each other and tireless desire to create a unique sound of a new musical genre, the band members skillfully upgrade the challenge: to combine and play with different musical genres they have encountered on their independent musical paths. The band’s music, deeply rooted in folk music and improvisation, has developed a distinctive and recognizable rhythm with intricate beats and authorial arrangements that surprises, inspires and enthuses audiences across Europe. The Wild Strings Trio is not intimidated by any venue. They play anywhere, on the street or on the big stage, in an art gallery or bar with live music, and everywhere they carry with unlimited amounts of inspiration, dedication and joy that they like to share with their audience. In 2015, the trio recorded their first album, Lost Weekend.

The Wild Strings Trio will perform at the pre-festival concert of the 29th Night in Old Ljubljana.
