He first entered the music scene by forming a trio with a great deal of rock energy. After secondary school, he went on to study jazz in Rotterdam, Netherlands where he formed the Kukushai Trio. He has been playing with the Rok Zalokar Trio since 2011, is a member of the Zhlehtet collective and duo Million Ear, and plays solo performances. He regularly performs at festivals at home and abroad and is the recipient of the Jazzon award for best composition and performance and the International Erasmus Jazz Prize. In 2021 he released the album Spaces VIII featuring contemporary music performed on the 18th-century organ in Maria’s Church on Sveta Gora. In 2022 he recorded another album titled Malinska, this one with his trio. He regularly performs with various artists.
