Gavro Quartet is a contemporary jazz ensemble, formed in 2023 by guitarist Tilen Gavranovič, whose artistic identity also gives the group its name. The quartet also features Lenart De Bock on tenor saxophone, Miloš Čočović on double bass and Andreas Reisenhofer on drums.
The group recorded and released its debut album Let’s Wait and See in 2024, featuring special guest appearances by acclaimed international musicians, pianist Marko Črnčec and trumpeter Jim Rotondi. The quartet has recently been promoting the album at various international performances, where they were joined onstage by artists such as Alex Sipiagin, Jure Pukl, Tomaž Gajšt, Gerhard Ornig, and Žan Cesar, in addition to album guests Črnčec and Rotondi.
Gavro Quartet’s repertoire is rooted in the original compositions by Tilen Gavranovič, drawing inspiration from a broad range of musical influences ranging from traditional and modern jazz to classical and pop music.
