Duo Mistral brings together two distinguished Italian musicians with extensive international concert experience. Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, the ensemble performs a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from the eighteenth century to jazz and contemporary music, with special focus on nineteenth- and twentieth-century works. Their performances are marked by refined ensemble playing, expressive interpretation and a strong artistic connection. Their recent recording, Dove danza il respire dell’anima (Where the Breath of the Soul Dances), explores music inspired by dance, movement and folk traditions.

Clarinetist and conductor Antonio Puglia studied at the Francesco Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia and later specialized at the Chigliana Academy in Siena. Prizewinner of several national and international competitions, he has performed throughout Europe and the Americas and appeared as principal clarinet with major Italian and international orchestras, including at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Alongside his performing career, he is active as a conductor, teacher and founder of the Ensemble APclarinetband and the Sardinian Philharmonic Orchestra. He was awarded Knighthood by the Italian Republic.

Pianist Mariano Meloni graduated with highest honours from the Alfredo Casella Conservatory in L’Aquila and also studied at the DAMS University in Bologna. As pianist, harpsichordist and organist, he has given more than 700 concerts across Europe and Latin America, appearing both as soloist and chamber musician.
