The band members describe themselves in their own words:

»Two friends connected through Kreativna cona Vrtojba decided that once the second one moved to Ljubljana, they would start a new band. First, they invited a guy from Idrija to play keyboards, and the group began creating original songs. Soon after, they brought in two more musicians: one drummer and one wind player. The wind player later left, leaving the band as a four-piece. Most likely, another member will join soon.

The group explores complex rhythmic structures while enjoying improvisation, blending jazz with touches of Afro-ethno influences and occasionally drawing inspiration from Balkan ethno music as well. You could probably call it a jazz-fusion band. After a year together — and a few friendly arguments along the way — the member who left the band gave the group the name Spranga Farbat«
