Jaka Kopač, saxophone
Marko Črnčec, piano

Following two sold out concerts at Cankarjev dom’s Lihart Hall and Ljubljana’s SiTi teater, a newly formed ensemble takes the stage at Jazz Klub 300, led by the outstanding Slovenian trumpet player Tomaž Gajšt.

Accompanied by a group of internationally acclaimed musicians, the evening will revolve around Gajšt’s original music. In addition to earlier compositions, presented in a fresh, new style, the audience will hear brand new, previously unperformed material. This very evening will be made even more special by a recording session for RTV Slovenia.

Trumpeter Tomaž Gajšt has been an active presence on the Slovenian music scene for more than fifteen years. He is a regular member and one of the prominent soloists of the RTV Slovenia Big Band, as reflected by numerous recordings and released projects. Over the course of his storied career, Gajšt has performed and recorded with many acclaimed Slovenian and international musicians, including Marko Črnčec, Robert Jukič, Kristijan Krajnčan, Nina Strnad, Lana Janjanin, Boštjan Simon in Zvjezdan Ružić.

A well-known name of jazz festival circuit throughout Europe, Gajšt has performed and contributed to more than 50 albums.
