An exceptional evening, dedicated to the trumpet – an instrument that has shaped the sound of jazz for decades – is on the horizon. The stage will serve as the meeting place of three exceptional trumpeters: Igor Matković, David Jarh and Bulgarian musician and educator Mihail Yosifov. Together, they will create an evening of top-level musicianship, dialogue and improvisation. Acclaimed Slovenian trumpeter Tomaž Gajšt will also join the group as special guest.

A special highlight of the evening will be the Youth section, consisting of remarkable young trumpeters Maj Kavšek, Vid Šketa, Rok Gerl and Vid Bavcon, whose energy and freshness point towards a bright future of the local jazz scene.

The entire evening’s program will be supported by an outstanding rhythm section: Marko Črnčec, Matej Hotko and Gašper Bertoncelj, whose experience and musical feeling will bring a dynamic and vibrant flow to the evening.

The program will weave together original compositions and jazz standards, leaving room for spontaneity, interaction and unrepeatable moments on stage. An evening where youth meets experience, and tradition meets the present, all brought together by the mighty sound of the trumpet.
