The Yaremi Kordos Cuban-Jazz Evolution Trio is a vibrant and emotionally charged musical project bringing together three outstanding international artists. Acclaimed Havana-based vocalist Yaremi Kordos, who gained recognition primarily through her work with the legendary Buena Vista Social Club project and her collaborations with the ensemble The Cuban Latin Jazz, draws deeply from her Cuban roots, while her stage presence radiates charisma and passion. Also originally from Cuba is double bassist Roland Abreu, distinguished by his rhythmic power and highly expressive musicianship. Completing the trio is award-winning guitarist Ratko Zjaca, renowned for his contemporary jazz sound and collaborations with world jazz legends such as John Patitucci, Al Foster, Steve Gadd, Miroslav Vitouš, Reggie Workman, Antonio Sánchez, Adam Nussbaum, and Randy Brecker.
The trio’s music combines the rich colors of Afro-Cuban rhythms with contemporary jazz and global influences, creating a captivating concert experience filled with rhythm, energy, and emotion.
Yaremi de las Mercedes Kordos is a Havana-based singer and guitarist who graduated from the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory of Music in Havana, and before moving to Europe, she performed with distinguished Cuban groups such as El Muso y su Gran Sonora, Huracán del Caribe, and Giraldo Piloto & Klimax. She is one of the few Europe-based artists to have collaborated with the legendary Buena Vista Social Club project.
