On the eve of the International Jazz Day, Damir’s Django Group is coming to Jazz hram in Postojna for a night of enchanting and passionate gypsy swing music. The gypsy swing guitarist Damir Kukuruzović, a recipient of many music awards and an influential successor of Django Reinhardt, left us way too soon in 2020 due to complications following covid-19. What stays is his rich music legacy and his Django Group.

With his admirable aesthetic level, Kukuruzović was a guitar virtuoso who played with the greatest names of the genre: Stochelo Rosenberg, Robin Nolan, Angelo Debarre, Paulus Shäfer, Wawau Adler, Gismo Graf and others. He also frequently recorded and performed with Zoran Predin and Matija Dedič. His ensemble continues performing as Damir’s Django Group. At the concert, they will play the music from Kukuruzović’s last album Smile, which launched posthumously. Damir will be there with us in spirit.

During the concert, the current NIJZ safety measures must be observed to contain the spread of COVID-19 infections.

Admission is free. You can reserve your spot by email ( or or phone (041 643 240 or 05 700 2300).
