Programme (Mija Novak):
Mija Novak (1993) started playing the piano on the high school of music in Ljubljana, in the class of prof. Soče Pervanje. In the year of 2013 she graduated with excellence at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, under mentorship of prof. Lidija Malahotky Haas. Currently she is studying at the Academy of Music Ljubljana with prof. Hinko Haas.
In the last few years, she received many different awards at the international competitions as a soloist and as a member of different chamber orchestras. She performed on the events organised by different agencies like EPTA Slovenia, Music Youth of Ljubljana, City of Ljubljana, the Ljubljana Music Academy and on different festival stages on domestic and foreign workshops.
Mija performed with Symphony Orchestra Domžale-Kamnik and SNG Opera Maribor Orchestra, for which she received the student Prešeren award for performance of D. Shostakovich 2nd piano concerto under conductor Simon Krečič.
She is performing with Orchestra of Academy of Music, SNG Opera Ljubljana Orchestra and International Youth Orchestra EUphony.
During her formal education she also took lessons with many renowed pianists, like Ruben Dalibaltayan, Aleksandar Serdar, Julia Gubaidulina, Claudio Martinez Mehner and others. From year 2014 to 2016 she recieved the City of Ljubljana scholarship.
