In 1996, Luca undertook the mission of promoting Tuscany’s cultural heritage through fusing classical music with the region’s popular literature. In collaboration with Professor C. Lapucci, he created a unique repertoire and presented it to audiences across the region. He continued his vocation as a music educator holding masterclasses in Denmark, Russia and Italy. He is a well-traveled performer, having played solo concerts for flute and orchestra with a plethora of prestigious institutions. In 1991, he toured Japan presenting flute in duos with organ, piano, and koto. He performed for Italian cultural institutes across Europe, played concerts in Miami and Naples, Florida in 2010, and New York Columbia University in 2014. He traveled as far as Australia, where he performed in Melbourne (Beethoven Festival, flute and piano), Mildura, Ballarat, and in St. Paul’s Church, Sydney (International organ festival). In addition to his passion for education and performance, Luca Magni serves as the Artistic Director of “Villa Magni Casa Musicale” in Pistoia.
