After studying guitar with Antet Čagelj in Zagreb and Alvar Pierri in Vienna, Mak Grgić continued his education with William Kanengiser and Scott Tennant in Los Angeles.
He has established himself as an excellent performer of contemporary music. He often includes works by composers such as Nina Šenk, David Crowell, Toby Twining, Michael Harrison, Christian Carey, Julia Adolphe, Thomas Kotcheff, Sven-David Sandström, Hakki Cengiz Eren and William Harvey. He recorded his first album in collaboration with Slovenian composer and guitarist Nejc Kuhar, and is currently recording an album entitled Cinema Verismo – a review of film music of recent decades in guitar transcriptions. He will present music from the films The Godfather, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Volver, The Mission, West Side Story and Chariots of Fire. Grgić has performed with orchestras such as the Spokane Symphony, the Lancaster Festival Festival Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and the SNG Opera and Ballet Maribor Orchestra, and has collaborated with conductors such as Gary Sheldon, Mladen Tarbuk and Simon Krečič.
Katja Koren has been following music all her life, and she made her first studio recording at the age of seven. For the first three years she studied classical and pop singing with Nace Junkar, and then for four years she supplemented her knowledge with Dada Kladenik. She passed the entrance exams at the Conservatory of Music and Acting in Klagenfurt and enrolled in the jazz and pop singing department. For two seasons she was also a member of the house orchestra Mali ekrani in the music show Parada on TV Slovenia. In February 2012, she released her debut pop album titled You Know What I Think? In 2013, she was a member of the house ensemble of the show Moja Slovenija and worked in the band Okustični together with Karin Zemljič and Mate Brodar. In 2014, she moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her studies (Santa Monica College), performing, creating, teaching and gaining new musical experiences. In an acoustic atmosphere, he performs with top guitarist Mak Grgič and musicians such as Louis Von Taylor (Kool & The Gang), Del Atkins, Joel Scott, Darryl Crooks (Snoop Dogg, Ledisi), Eric Valentine and others.
