For the media: We cordially invite you to a PRESS CONFERENCE marking the start of the 38th IMAGO SLOVENIAE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL and SUMMER IN OLD LJUBLJANA on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the STOW café in the City Museum of Ljubljana.

The national project Imago Sloveniae, one of the largest cultural projects in Slovenia, is celebrating 38 years of successful work in the field of culture this year. At the press conference, we will present the program highlights of this year’s Imago Sloveniae International Festival and Summer in Old Ljubljana, whose grand opening will take place on Wednesday, June 17, at 9:00 p.m. at Congress Square in Ljubljana.

Your speakers will be:

– Jan Kern, director of Imago Sloveniae and the Old Ljubljana Cultural Institute
– Nejc Avbelj, director of the Slovenian Philharmonic
– Filip Runjak and Lukas Grum, young musicians and soloists at the opening concert
– Aleksandra Naumovski Potisk, composer
– Franci Krevh, Artistic Director of the Slovenian Philharmonic’s Family Subscription Series
– Prof. Volodja Balžalorsky, Artistic Director of the Spectrum Festival

The press conference will be moderated by Blaž Vrbič.
