SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF THE IMAGO SLOVENIAE 2026 SUMMER CONCERT SEASON
We have successfully concluded the 38th Imago Sloveniae Summer Concert Season, which once again offered outstanding musical experiences at numerous concert venues across Slovenia and in the cross-border regions. The exceptional attendance, media support and audience response once again confirm the important role of the Imago Sloveniae project in promoting high-quality and accessible cultural programmes.
This season, we hosted 637 musicians from 24 countries at 61 concerts and welcomed more than 23,000 visitors. The programme brought together Slovenian and international artists, provided valuable concert experience for young musicians, and presented Slovenian musical creativity beyond our borders.
An important part of this year’s programme was also the International Musicology Symposium, which complemented the concert programme with professional and research-based content. In cooperation with RTV Slovenija, 10 concerts were audio-recorded for Programme ARS, while one concert was video-recorded in cooperation with the Music and Ballet Department of RTV Slovenija. In this way, the concert programme is gaining a lasting presence in the wider media landscape.
Accessible concerts by outstanding musical artists once again significantly enriched Slovenia’s national summer cultural programme and contributed to making high-quality music accessible to the widest possible audience.

For 38 years, as a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, we have been committed to providing accessible cultural programmes of the highest standard. This is also made possible thanks to our loyal partners, co-funders, patrons and sponsors, among whom we would particularly like to highlight the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of the Interior and Public Administration, the City of Ljubljana, the Ljubljana Tourism public institute and the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO.
Our sincere thanks go to all the musicians, partners, media and visitors who contributed to the success of this year’s season. Your support has enabled us to create outstanding and accessible musical events for almost four decades, connecting artists and audiences both at home and internationally.
